Besides my work in physics, I am also an active musician in many different settings. I majored in music composition in college, and still play in different groups (world music, classical, Christian music) around Boston.
I have enduring interest in the ideal of the Renaissance man, in other words being intellectually balanced, which means keeping up some reading and learning in non-scientific areas. Some time ago I started on a personal quest to , read all the books in the Great Books of the Western World, although that has been put on the back burner for now. Here are some reviews of the Great Books I’ve read.
Finally I have had an interest in Christian apologetics and theology since I was a teenager. In fact, this passion played a big role in making me want to pursue physics as a vocation.
